This dynamic and flexible lighting design, executed by the talented team at Harry the Hirer, transformed the Grand Pavilion of the Melbourne Showgrounds into a captivating event space.
The iFORTE fixtures, strategically placed on 11 main trusses, illuminated the large plenary area, which seamlessly transitioned into a cocktail party space with live music. The other half of the venue was dedicated to a lounge, mingling, and networking area, while outdoor spaces were also lit to enhance the overall atmosphere.
Brad Johnson, the production and site manager, played a pivotal role in coordinating over 100 crew members and overseeing technical departments, ensuring a smooth and timely execution. The iFORTE fixtures, with their versatility and power, were the star of the show, used for general lighting, key lighting for presenters, performers, and gobos on the roof skins, creating a vibrant and immersive environment.
Oliver Pool, the senior lighting technician, was thrilled to use the iFORTE fixtures for the first time.
